Watch on YouTubeVideoProteins — the body builders
Proteins are the building material of our body. Muscles, skin, hair, nails, organs — all made of proteins.
During digestion, proteins break down into amino acids, which the body rearranges to build whatever it needs.
Sources:
- Animal: eggs, fish, meat, paneer, milk
- Plant: dal, beans, chickpeas, soybean, peanuts
Growing children need extra protein.
Example
Cutting a finger? Skin cells rebuild using protein. Exercising? Muscle fibres repair with protein.
💡 Tip:Veg source combo: pulses + cereal (dal + rice) gives complete amino acid profile.
