Pictographs

A pictograph uses pictures/symbols to show amounts. Each icon represents a fixed number.

Legend is crucial: "1 🐘 = 10 elephants" tells you how to read the chart.

Great for elementary comparisons, less precise for big or unusual numbers.

Example
🐘🐘🐘½ means 3.5 × 10 = 35 elephants.
💡 Tip:Half icons are common. Always look for the legend first.
