Watch on YouTubeVideoWhat is data?
Data is information we collect to answer a question.
- Ages of your classmates
- Runs scored in 5 cricket matches
- Rainfall each month
- Favourite colour in your class
Steps: collect → organize → present → interpret.
Example
Survey: "Which fruit do you like — apple, banana, mango?" Ask 30 kids. Their answers = raw data.
💡 Tip:Raw data is messy. Our job is to organize it so patterns pop out.
