Always unfold step-by-step — undo the last fold first, then the next, then the first. Each step doubles the number of cut shapes.
Example
Paper folded twice (in half, then half again) and a small square cut from the corner: unfolds into 4 squares arranged in a larger square pattern.
💡 Tip:Pay attention to whether the cut is on the fold-edge or the open edge — that changes the result.
