Watch on YouTubeVideoShadows — size, shape, position
A shadow forms on the side OPPOSITE the light source, behind an opaque object.
Rules:
- Object closer to light → shadow is BIGGER.
- Object farther from light → shadow smaller.
- Sun LOW (morning / evening) → shadow LONG.
- Sun HIGH (noon) → shadow SHORT.
Shadows show shape but never colour or details — they're just silhouettes.
Example
At 7 AM, a flagpole casts a 10 m long shadow. At noon, maybe just 1 m. Sun has gone higher overhead.
💡 Tip:Shadow length × Sun angle are inversely related.
