Range = highest value – lowest value. Shows spread.
When reading a chart: (1) read title, (2) read axes + scale, (3) compare bars, (4) do the math carefully.
Example
Temperatures: 22, 28, 15, 30, 25.
Range = 30 – 15 = 15.
Range = 30 – 15 = 15.
💡 Tip:Even if range is big, don't panic — mean could still be typical.
