Concept 2 of 3
Adjectives vs adverbs — quick test
Adjective describes a noun. Adverb describes a verb (or adjective).
Test: Ask what kind of? for adjectives, how/when/where? for adverbs.
Example
"The tall boy ran quickly." — tall (kind of boy = adj), quickly (how he ran = adv).
💡 Tip:Adverbs often (but not always) end in -ly. Adjectives often sit before nouns.
